DruckMost people have more time than they realize; the true constraint is energy. Think of all the things you have to do, all your roles in life and responsibilities as being calls on your pie of energy. There is only so much energy to go around, particularly in the short run. If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority. If you have an over-arching goal, then you must learn to manage distractions, to allocate your energy pie, to put first things first.

In the long run, there are lots of ways to enlarge your energy pie:
– Exercise
– Nutritious diet
– Positive visualization (negative visualization = worry)
– Getting into flow state
– Surrounding yourself with high energy, supportive people
– Tapping into your life’s purpose, your personal passions
– Learning time/project management techniques (such as big rocks first)
