Time, efficiency and priorities. I agree with Nathan that energy is a more vital ingredient than time. During our high energy and likewise high efficiency part of the day we accomplish so much more in such little time. Determination is also a key factor in that if we desire something to get done, it seems to fly. The amount of "make work" in the world is overwhelming. Some much of what we seem to have to do, is unimportant, in that it does not change our lives and on top of that it is not enjoyable. My own particular problem seems to be spending 3 times the amount of time deciding weather to do something or not than it actually takes to do it. That reminds my of my RV Camping days, It would take me 2 days to get ready for the trip, 2 days for the trip and 2 more days to get everything put away. The total energy used was enormous. Of all the things in my life, my bicycle is the best. It is almost 10 years old, at most I spend 30 minutes a year caring for it, and I get to enjoy it almost every day. So here is the bottom line, get activities with very low time overhead. Spontaneous means you get to do them when you want. No wasted time!!
