Happy Just Because

Novel Idea: You don’t NEED a REASON to be happy, you can choose to be “Happy Just Because”… you WANT to be happy. Yeah, I know, crazy idea. And in our Heart of Hearts, we all know its true… BUT we don’t do it that often, do we?

Yeah, I know: “deadlines and commitments”* plus “new job’s a hassle and the kids have the flu”.** Well, there are always reasons not to be happy and reasons to be happy. Me, I’m choosing to be happy and walk on over to the Sunny Side of the Street; hope you will join me!***

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He’d grown up just like me
My boy was just like me

Grab your coat and get your hat, leave your worry at the doorstep

I used to walk in the shade with those blues on parade
But I’m not afraid ’cause this rover, crossed over
